What is the rule to convert number into word for cardinal numbers in English System?

  1. Cardinal numbers refer to the size of a group. In English, these words are numerals.
    0 zero (nought), 10 ten, 1 one, 11 eleven, 2 two, 12 twelve, 20 twenty, 3 three, 13 thirteen, 30 thirty, 4 four, 14 fourteen, 40 forty, 5 five, 15 fifteen, 50 fifty, 6 six, 16 sixteen, 60 sixty, 7 seven, 17 seventeen, 70 seventy, 8 eight, 18 eighteen, 80 eighty, 9 nine, 19 nineteen, 90 ninety
  2. If a number is in the range 21 to 99, and the second digit is not zero, the number is typically written as two words separated by a hyphen.
    21 twenty-one, 25 twenty-five, 32 thirty-two, 58 fifty-eight, 64 sixty-four, 79 seventy-nine, 83 eighty-three, 99 ninety-nine
  3. In English, the hundreds are perfectly regular, except that the word hundred remains in its singular form regardless of the number preceding it.
    100 one hundred, 200 two hundred, 900 nine hundred
  4. So too are the thousands, with the number of thousands followed by the word “thousand”.

Similar fashion of the wording the numbers are followed for the Indian-Arabic number system as well.

Step 1: Download the Excel Addin File from this link. Phoca Download

Step 2: Install the Addin File
(i) Open your “Microsoft Excel”
(ii) Go to “Files:
(ii) Go to “Options”
(iv) Go to “Add-ins” tab in the new window
(v) At the bottom at “Manage” Section choose “Excel Add-ins” and click “Go”
(vi) Click “Browse” and browse and select the file downloaded from Step 1
(vii) Click “OK” and return to Excel Spreadsheet

Step 3: You can start to use the tool

1. Word_English(insert_number_here)
Output: Number is converted into Word under the English Numbering System
2. Word_Nepali(insert_number_here)
Output: Number is converted into Word under the Nepali Numbering System
3. Word_Nepali_Unicode(insert_number_here)
Output: Number is converted into Word under the Nepali Numbering System in Unicode Text
