Converting Astro-Ephemeris into API

Okay, let’s do some pseudo-science.

If you are feeling the deep fatigue of actual science and modern, highly transactional conversations, and you suddenly crave an ancient premise for your social life, maybe it’s time to look away from the screen and look up into the stars. (Cheesy Introduction)

At first, I only wanted to build a working algorithm for an Ashtakoot Guna Milan API and call it a day. But the concept came out so nicely that I accidentally built a whole dating app around it. This isn’t your typical Tinder-style app where you match based on a face-blending algorithm or how good someone looks holding a fish. Instead, we’re using a digital platform for traditional Vedic Kundali matching. (Context of the App)

All you need is a genuine Gmail account, plus your exact time and place of birth, and that is it. The app calculates your Nakshatra (moon sign) and Rashi. It then compares your cosmic chart with potential connections across the 8 Kootas, generating a compatibility score out of 36 points. We are talking about hard metrics for traits like natural friendship, emotional bonding, destiny, and intimacy. (How it Works)

Because the stars can’t do all the heavy lifting, some intentional, earthly filtering is also included. Your discovery feed should be based on what actually matters to your cultural and personal background. You can easily filter your matches by age, diet, religion, caste, and gotra (just to make sure you don’t accidentally match with a cosmic cousin). (Introducing Filters)

Then comes the actual conversing. When you see a profile whose energy (and score) aligns with yours, you can express interest. If the universe aligns and they express interest back, congratulations, it becomes a “Mutual Match.” Only then does the app open a private chat room for the two of you to connect. No spam, no unwanted messages, just two cosmically cleared people saying hello !! (How to Chat)

So – Sign Up, Express Interest and Say Hello. If possible, carry the conversation someplace other than in the astrolami app – you would not want to burden my tiny server too much – because after all, it’s just an experiment !!
